Clock at the central train station


Here is another video from the series of videos I am taking to cover different parts of Luxembourg in order to make a full time-lapse composition afterwards.

  • Shutter speed: 1/1000
  • Nikon D7100 + Nikkor 24-70 f2.8
  • ISO 100
  • Focal length: 24 mm
  • 550 pictures taken 
  • Total duration: 1h 30 min.
  • Interval (time between two pictures): 10 seconds. 
  • HDR On: mode High+
  • Speed up factor: x240 times.

  • Nikon D7100 + Nikkor 24-70 f2.8
  • ISO 100
  • Focal length: 24 mm
  • 500 pictures taken 
  • Total duration: 1h 30 min.
  • Interval (time between two pictures): 10 seconds. 
  • HDR On: mode low
  • Video should be 20 seconds, but a part of it was speed-up.
  • Speed up factor: x340 times.
  • Deflickered using GBDeflicker 2 on Adobe After Effect.

Self-Criticism:

  • I should have stayed a bit longer at night to cover a longer duration. 
  • There are still some flickering remaining due to the change of the shutter speed. Note that the last frame of this video was taken at 8'' shutter speed.

Image reconstruction using genetic algorithm



In this video, a genetic algorithm is running to evolve the image (on right) which consists of 50 triangles. The algorithm determines the position, the size and the color of each triangle each time, than the whole image is evaluated and the difference with the original one (on left) is plotted on the graph.
